There are  several really cool (as always)  shows to catch in Lethbridge this week.

it begins with a return visit to the Geomatic Attic from reknown southern U.S. born, Vancouver based gospel / soul trio, the Sojourners.

They are sure to play an upbeat, harmony filled soulful show, Oct. 13. The show starts at 8 p.m.

For you youngsters, Australia children’s entertainers the Wiggles return to the Yates Centre, Oct. 14.

And Average Joes has a couple excellent shows as well, with country singer Craig Moritz on Oct. 15 and  Blaze of Glory— a tribute to Bon Jovi the next night.

An exceptional show though, is sure to be the return of alt country troubadour Dave McCann and the Firehearts, who are at the Slice, Oct. 16  to help celebrate SLice owner Jesse Freed’s birthday.

It is also a good weekend to hear local country/ roots singers as Karen Romanchuk plays the Mocha Cabana, Oct. 15 and 16 while Alyssa McQuaid returns to the Front Row Pub those same days.

And just announced, The Slice is bringing back Porkbelly Futures, Oct. 13.

There are also a couple excellent shows at the Owl this weekend with Johnny Good and Colin Rink performing on Friday, followed by local jazz pop group  Daliance Elixer on Saturday.

There is also a big rap show this week. On Oct, 16, Kyprios, Moka Only and Jeff Spec plus local rappers the City Prophets will be “rapping the vote” at Scores North to show their support for mayoral candidate Kay Adeniyi. There is a $10 cover for  the show, which begins at 9 p.m.

Also on Friday, the LCC Barn plays host for the Chevelles who will be raising money for the Terry Fox run.  The show begins at 8 p.m.. Donations $25 and over get a tax receipt.
