The Living Luca began its success with the experiment of the Yarwood brothers in 1999. The band played a few venues but really got their break in 2003, when they won a battle of the bands with Bridgette –their sister- , as their new vocalist. The guys were so impressed with the results of their new sound that they decided to keep Bridgette as their front woman. Since then, The living Luca (formerly NSR,) has grown immensely. A vast list of shows played has been populated after hundreds of concerts throughout Canada and some cities of the United States. Their live experience and show is full of energy and great sound, you have to be there to experience it! The band released their first album titled ‘Far removed from’ in 2006. The album was widely distributed and supported by extensive touring, something that helped The Living Luca become even more popular in the southern Alberta scene.
After many years of musicianship, the band underwent a few lineup changes, which now include Templedown/Eve’s Reflection’s former guitarist Ivan Reina. The band is now stronger and is writing new songs for their highly anticipated second record.
