Redboine is the latest project by Winnipeg Metis songwriter Patrick Alexandre. This collection of songs and stories explores Alexandre’s ancestors rolls in the Red River Rebellion of 1869-70.

Joined by one of Winnipeg’s finest guitar players, Dwayne Dueck, Patrick flows from upright bass, to guitar, harmonica and percussion, all while taking you on an emotional journey through Canadian history, providing a very human and personal perspective.

Using Roots, Country and Blues music, Alexandre gets down into gritty truths of the turmoil faced by his relatives and the people around them at the time of Manitoba’s confederation. He offers many different perspectives from various characters throughout the conflict.
