Playing cover, originals, and generally everything fun. Come out and celebrate New Year's Eve with me! : )
Known for her king-size, stunning voice, she has transcended herself by
creating soulful music, with the power and intensity of a silky, sweet,
locomotive. She has been described as ‘contemporary meets pop meets
country’, but her music pays little attention to genre, with audiences
getting lost in the emotional honesty of her performances and lyrics.
After opening for such acts as SEAN KINGSTON, BOYZ II MEN, AND KIM
MITCHELL, Danielle Braund is breaking new boundaries with her new EP
"Sunday Morning". With the intent of creating a dynamic, cutting-edge
sound, Danielle Braund sought out producer Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae
Jepsen). The result is a widely appealing EP that leaves the listener
wanting more.
Her sound has been brewing for years, and is
a culmination of a classical degree in Music from the University of
Lethbridge, advanced jazz studies in composition in Detroit, and
moonlighting as a backup singer at top clubs for pop bands in NYC. Her
first recording effort was her single “To The World” (2006) produced by
Wendy Starland (LADY GAGA). Shortly after she attempted a full-length
album featuring all original blues-infused songs on "No Tears"
(2007)with producer Stephen Joseph, which earned an HONOURABLE MENTION
in the INTERNATIONAL WEST COAST SONGWRITING CONTEST.
