Oh great. Valentine's Day. No, that's fine, continue flaunting your
relationship. Really, I'm perfectly happy wallowing here in my lonesome
misery. You two are going out for a romantic dinner? He's bringing you
flowers? And chocolate? That's so cute. No, honestly, that's not
even a little bit clichéd. Seriously though, you couldn't come with any
idea even remotely more original than that? Ah, of course. A proposal. I
should have known. Excuse me while I throw up. I'll just start stocking
up on ice cream and lining up the Sex and the City reruns now. Ugh.
Valentine's is such a drag.
Fortunately, to distract you from the dreariness that is your life,
Lethbridge's most anticipated drag show, dance, and silent auction is
back for its sixth year! Join us at The Stone on February 11th for a
night of music, merriment, and madness!
We'll have fabulous
performances by local kings and queens (princes, princesses, and jesters
too!) throughout the night. When not enjoying these incredible talents,
we'll be having a dance party! Everybody loves a dance party! To join
you in your dancing, the Object Manipulation Club will take to the stage
to wow us all with their object manipulating skillz.
The
recently developed partnership with the U of L Electronic Music Club
brings us a variety of music for this event, including live DJ’s
associated with BassWorks Entertainment who will be spinning the best in
dubstep, electro, breaks and more! With their extensive expertise in
the music scene, the U of L EMC is sure to bring a great and fun filled
vibe throughout the event, promising a party worth attending.
This event is 18+. Government issued identification will be checked at
the door. Cover is $10 - $8 with the donation of a non-perishable food
item for the University of Lethbridge Students' Union food bank. Half
price for paid members of the PRIDE Centre, the EMC, and the OMC.
