1:05: Stars From Streetlights http://www.starsfromstreetlights.com
Stars from Streetlights is a band originating from Lethbridge, AB. It
was formed by artists Steve Birss and Austrian Graf when they began
writing together in July of 2009. They added new member Ray Banman in
the fall of 2010. Austrian brings a smooth and emotional texture to
Steve's glitchy electronic beats. These things paired with Ray's melodic
and driving bass lines, provide for a unique listening
experience. Stars from Streetlights likes to use a variety of
instruments to create their sound, from analog monosynths, to digital
software, to a 30 year old Rhodes. Together the trio displays the
emotional side of electronic music, classifying their genre as
'emotronic.' Stars From Streetlights will be releasing their first album
in March 2012.

2:50: Gold http://goldband.tumblr.com/
We are a dream pop band from Canada. Kaelen, Rena, Chris & Matt. ♥ Go to our website http://goldband.tumblr.com/
Kaelen Ohm & Rena Kozak got together in early 2011 and started writing original pop songs, finding their own sound with jangly reverb-drenched guitar leads and dreamy vocal harmonies. With the rhythmic support of Chris Reimer (Women) on drums and Matt Swann (Extra Happy Ghost) on Bass, the 4-piece began playing shows and recording demos in December 2011 before Reimer unexpectedly passed away in his sleep in February 2012.
In Chris’s memory, Gold will release the 7” vinyl EP titled “Losing Your Hair” under Canadian record label Mammoth Cave Records. The EP features 4 tracks that the band recorded with Chris before he passed. Gold is currently active and recording their debut full length album with the addition of Calgarian musician Chris Dadge (Lab Coast) on drums.

Five Alarm Funk is a horn powered, percussion fuelled sonic and visual
assault. For more than six years the band has brought their relentless
and unforgettable live show to clubs and major festivals across Canada
and the United States.
The group on stage is an unstoppable orgy of
energy. Ten musicians perform intricate and airtight arrangements with
delirious dance moves and full on headbanging. Choreographed arm movements coincide with melodic climaxes while the four percussionists create a true spectacle.
6 p.m.: Black Mastiff http://soundcloud.com/blackmastiff
Clay Shea, Allan Harding, Bob Yiannakoulias.
The Black Mastiff is a powerful breed known for its thick grooves,
tasteful leads, and soothing melodies. Though new to the scene they have
over 35 years of previous touring and playing experience combined! This
breed of musicianship is well versed in the trials and triumphs of
being a Canadian working band. The Black Mastiff has
a gentle temperament, but will not back down when presented with the
opportunity to flex their powerful, yet soulful sound. ~ Not recommended
for those that are ‘faint of heart’. This breed delivers a heavy dose
of stoner soul rock. They are not afraid to stray from home and roam the
nation; commanding attention, they convert idle listeners. The Black
Mastiff is a first-rate breed and with very little effort is sure to
provide an excellent life long companion for anyone who is looking for a
fresh and honest working breed.
