Rattle and Strum is Calgary songwriter Heather Blush and her cohort “Captain” Steve Hazlett. Blush has been wowing audiences since 2009 with her repertoire of classical piano, folk roots and jazz fusion, delivered with her powerful vocals and songwriting that ranges from witty sarcasm to gutwrenching honesty. Her album, Vice, a collection of songs focusing on various bad habits, was followed by the antithesis recording, Versa, which explores life’s lighter side. Her kid-friendly persona has been unveiled with this project. Their recipe for fun involves a scoop of toe-tapping tunes and a dash of silliness, all based around Blush’s deep musical background.
