Matt lives just outside the tiny hamlet of LaGlace, Alberta. He ventured to the big smoke of Vancouver to make his first album “Outside the Lights of Town” with multi-Juno winner Steve Dawson. Songs on the record share stories of an aging small town hero who is still a legend in his own mind, an oilfield widow, and a farmer with his own take on the divine. A former forester, sketches of the lives of working men and women in rural Canada are strong in many of Patershuk’s songs. He is a genuine and open performer who loves to share a song.
