 7:30 p.m. The Silkstones  http://www.thesilkstones.com

The Silkstones are a rock band hailing out of Lethbridge Alberta Canada. The Silkstones became fully-formed in the spring of 2015, and make good use of the full-band instrumentation. With a fantastic intertwining of rhythm guitar, blazing electric leads, and groovy drumming, their music takes the listener on a journey with honest songwriting and energetic live performances.

They make the music that they want to hear, and have no problems sounding unique while doing it.

Ryan Phillips: Lead vocals, guitar, ukulele, piano

Rus Andrew-: Lead guitar, vocals

Blake Lowry: Drums

Dylan Wagner: Bass, vocals

We are an ambient indie band with some post-rock and psychedelic influences. A lot of our sound comes from our diverse love for music.
Long Description
Fox Who Slept The Day Away does not spend their days idly, despite what their name suggests. From their first demo, "Sometimes", it was easy to see that the quartet were on to something special. The EP spoke to a maturity far beyond what is expected of the young group, and since then this dynamic has been ever evolving and delighting fans. Blending jazz and math-rock technicality with the ambience of post rock, they have created a unique and diverse sonic range. With ambitious influences such as The Antlers, Grizzly Bear, and Local Natives, the band is constantly working to develop and encompass new branches of music.

PRAIRIE POST PUNK

They sound like frantic guitar suicide with splintering, interwoven rhythms and shouted unison vocals. The songs are to-the-point, but with enough room to sustain dancing.

10:45 Lab Coast  labcoast.tumblr.com

Lab Coast is a rock/pop band, formed in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in 2008, by Chris Dadge and David Laing. They are currently active, and have released three albums, two split 7" singles, and and two EPs. They are known for short, hooky pop songs, with an emphasis on strong vocal melodies, bustling rhythm section arrangements, and twin-guitar interplay. Lab Coast’s albums are characterized by a fuzzy, vaguely psychedelic, “lo-fi” production aesthetic, largely attributable to the band’s recording methods and equipment. Live, the band exists as a conventional five-piece rock combo, with unintentionally fluctuating membership.

Chris Dadge (drums, vocals), Darrell Hartsook (bass), Henry Hsieh (guitar), Sammie Smith (guitar), David Laing (vocals).

Psych, Pop, Rock

Marie Sulkowski (vox, 12-string, keys); Danny Vescarelli (vox, 12-string, guitars); Jennifer Crighton (vox, harp, harmonicas); Melissa McWilliams (vox, drums); Ryan Bourne (vox, bass)

"Formerly named Deadhorse, the group exudes a powerfully eclectic interplay between its members... as they traverse through West Coast inspired psych-folk, raved-up blues rock and arena-size psych jams that venture into deep space–sometimes within a single song" - Dog Gone Blog
